Dr. Ákos Hartai has been providing exceptional care for companion animals in the Dallas area since 2005.
He is a graduate of St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine and performed his clinical year at Oklahoma State University. Early on in his education Dr. Hartai was introduced to Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. He started studying Chinese medicine right after graduation and took post graduate courses in Acupuncture, Advanced Acupuncture, Tui-Na (Chinese body work), food therapy and Chinese herbal medicine at the Chi Insitute. Dr. Hartai attended Parker College of Chiropractic’s Animal Chiropractic course and passed the certification exam by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. In 2012 Dr. Hartai completed all requirements for being a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist at the Canine Rehabilitation Institute.
Dr. Hartai is a firm believer in preventative care and integrated medicine. He has a strong interest in canine sports medicine and working and performance dogs.
When not at work, Dr. Hartai enjoys spending time with his wife and sons, and playing with their two dogs. He relaxes by scuba diving or snorkeling, especially if combined with underwater photography. He enjoys most outdoor activities and has a lifelong passion for learning something new each day.
